Our Teachers
Who are our teachers?
In order to teach a variety of languages, we cooperate with both Czech and foreign teachers. Our teaching team comprises approximately 450 experienced teachers who are willing to be educated further and who introduce new trends in their classes. We guarantee the professional profile of our teachers by their strict selection, by the monitoring of their work and by their further education.
Our professional requirements for teachers
Our teachers are subject to a strict 3-level recruitment procedure, which is specified in ISO standards:
1st stage: selection based on the data in CVs
We require the following qualifications, of which the teacher must provide proof:
- university education
- language proficiency
- pedagogical education and practice
The minimum qualification required from Czech teachers is a university degree in English or another language and at least two years of practice in teaching adult students or a traineeship abroad in a country where the relevant language is spoken.
The minimum qualification required from native speakers is an examination authorising them to teach the relevant first language (such as TEFL, DELTA, CELTA, ...), a university degree in arts and humanities in their country and practice in teaching.
2nd stage: tests and interview
The teacher has to pass a linguistic, pedagogical and psychological test and to complete an entrance interview with our HR specialist for teachers. At this stage, we will determine the teacher's personal aptitude for teaching.
3rd practical stage: demonstration class
An integral part of the selection of teachers is their performance in practice. Each teacher must do a demonstration class in accordance with our teaching plan.
If a teacher meets all our requirements, he is then offered cooperation.
